 What is the in-mould labeling

In mold labeling process is a combination of label operation and blow molding or injection molding process, which saves the process of sticking labels after plastic products are molded.

In the process of labeling, the printed and die - cut labels are stacked in a single form and placed in a label box; with the opening of the mould, the label is drawn by one piece by one of the manipulator, the position is placed in the open die, the label is printed in the face, the face is painted with the solid glue mixture, and the vacuum is vacuum pressure or In the form of electrostatic adsorption, the label is firmly attached to the wall of the mold; after the die is closed, the molten plastic resin enters the mold and is formed.

At this time the temperature in the whole mold is still high, and the label solid binder of the prototype container begins to melt and knot with the plastic container; when the mold is opened again, the plastic container is opened again.

Forming, labels and containers are integrated into one part of the forming container.

The biggest difference between in mold labeling and traditional labeling is that the labeling is different.

The in mold label is not sticker after the plastic container is completely shaped, but it is finished with the container once.

Because of the different labeling methods, there are certain requirements for labelling characteristics of in mold labeling process:

1. labels should be set up to ensure that labels are not bent or deformed during transmission.

2. the surface of the label should be smooth, and the labels should not be sticker or static.

3. label edges should be neat, label both sides can not be damaged;

4. printing labels used ink and polish to withstand high pressure and high temperature test.

Advantages of in-mold labeling

The appearance of in mold labeling technology has brought significant innovations to label packaging.

Compared with traditional labels, its advantages are mainly manifested in the following aspects:

1. in-mould labeling products are more beautiful

This is the greatest advantage of the internal labeling. The consumer market has combined high quality products with high-quality packaging. In the past, the packers used the pattern of silk screen to pursue the unity and unlabeling of the packaging containers. However, due to the limitation of technology and cost, the graphic and text of the silk screen is usually simple, the color is monotonous, and the expressive force of the graphic and text is not enough, and the rich content can not be reflected. Labelling in mold has the advantages of screen printing and self-adhesive printing. It solves the contradiction between the lack of integrity of self-adhesive labels, and the lack of rich labels in silk screen printing. The inside of the model label adapts to a variety of printing methods, the color is dazzling, the layers are rich, and the graphic and the text are fine. The inside of the model label seals the edge of the label to make the surface smooth and seamless. It can effectively improve the product grade and support the value of the product.

2. in-mold labeling products are more practical

With the combination of the label and the plastic container, the label is inlaid firmly in the wall, so the label can be kept well and beautiful for a long time, and the ink will not be dropped. The label will not warp, fall, break and curl, and it also has waterproof, oil proof, mould proof, extrusion resistant, acid alkali, and alkali. It is resistant to friction, bending, cooling and heat resistance, so that labels are not easy to damage and stain under special circumstances.

3. in mould labeling products have a certain anti-counterfeiting effect

Self adhesive label technology has been very mature, so imitation is very easy. The printing process in the mould label is more advanced, more difficult and more demanding than the traditional label. The internal model labeling requires special mold and the cost of mould making is high; the internal model labeling is an annular interlocking production system, which is consistent with each other closely and has many influential factors, which can be improved to a certain extent. The difficulty and cost of counterfeiting. Therefore, in mold labeling is considered a rather difficult form of forgery. This provides a more reliable brand protection for users of plastic packaging products that aim at quality and brand.

4. the use of in mold labeling can improve the production efficiency

From a cost point of view, it is very useful to link several functions together, because it saves individual functions, transportation and storage. The intra die labeling process combines the sticker label operation with the blow molding or injection molding process. The plastic products do not need any further processing after the molding. It does not need to add the labeling equipment and increase the labelling workers like the sticker label. Therefore, it can save the production link, save labor and improve the efficiency. The label is embedded in the side wall of the plastic container, which can reinforce the side wall of the container, improve the strength of the container and reduce the amount of the resin in the container, because the label in the mould takes the place of the equal amount of resin.
